SWEET PONGAL RECIPE | EASY RECIPE FOR FESTIVALS
A sweet pongal is also known as Sakkara Pongal. It is tradtional dish, we offer the pongal to the god during the festivals, rituals and on special Occasions. In this blog, I have shared this recipe in the step by step procedure.

INGREDIENTS
Rice 1/2 Cup
Moong Dhal 4 tbspn
Cashwenuts 5 to 10 grams
Dry grapes 4 to 5 pieces
Cardamom powder 1 pinch
Jaggery 150 grams
Ghee as required

Rice 1/2 Cup
Moong Dhal 4 tbspn
Cashwenuts 5 to 10 grams
Dry grapes 4 to 5 pieces
Cardamom powder 1 pinch
Jaggery 150 grams
Ghee as required
METHODS
- Take half a cup of rice and Moong dhal soak in water about half an hour.
- Later add a dhal and rice in pressure pan with 2 cup of water. Leave the pan cooker until 4 vessels.
- After add 150 gms of jaggery into the rice. The rice has to cooked in the semi porridge form.
- Then add the pinch of Cardamom powder.
- As a side, take a tadka pan, heat a pan and add a 2 tbspn of Ghee. Add cashwenuts and dry grapes in the hot ghee.
- Let it turns brown colour, then add into the pongal.
- Finally serve as a hot.
